Our GOAL is to raise $25,000 to assit with production, mixing, mastering, studio hire and musician fees. We start recording at Teaneck Studio on 9th March 2013.

About The Hipstones
Mark and Anthea formed The Hipstones in 2004 in Sydney, Australia and recorded their debut album Something's Gonna Start in 2006 and followed that up with Dreamers in 2010. Now, eight years in, they are ready to make their third album but this time with some help from producer, Justin Stanley.
With an eye to the classic R&B sounds of the 1960’s, the duo of Mark Palmer (keys/vocals) and Anthea White (vocals) have shaped a sonic identity all their own. From the streets of Tokyo to the stage of the Sydney Opera house; from Australia to the musical depths of the New York City, The Hipstones have established themselves as one of the premier soul bands on the scene today.
Now based in Brooklyn, NY, The Hipstones seven-piece powerhouse ensemble are tearing up New York’s funkiest clubs. Mark and Anthea have built a sound that’s just a little bit Marvin Gaye, and a whole lot modern day. Their second album, Dreamers (2010), is a testament to their unique vision and mastery of all things jazz, soul, funk and groove.
With their impressive wealth of musical influences, The Hipstones manage to not only pay homage to the past, but to also define a kind of future. A future built on world-class music and an undeniable band. A future born from their storied international lineage.

Welcome to our IndieRaiser campaign. Some of you may or may not know, Mark and I have been working really hard over here in NYC to write our new record (and soak up some inspiration) for the past three years. We really want to thank you for all your support and love, it has been INCREDIBLE!! We are loving our new material and have been performing a lot with some of New York's finest musicians to bring together a new album of inspired soul music.
Now adding a new member to the team, it is with great honour that we introduce you to Justin Stanley. One of the hardest working producers as well as, musicians, engineers, mixers we have ever had the pleasure to work with. We are so excited to be working on this album with such a heavy-weight producer, who's production creds range from Beck, The Vines, Amos Lee, Eric Clapton, Nikka Costa, Sheryl Crow, Jamie Lidell, Leonardo's Bride (ARIA winner), Chaka Khan and many more. Oh and did we mention Justin is an Aussie!
Making this next album is an exciting time BUT we need your support to make it happen!
